About Vivette
Vivette was founded in 2026 by an architect and an occupational therapist, making grab rails from solid timber rather than the standard clinical white plastic. Every piece is made in small UK workshops from European oak, using cabinet makers rather than factory production, and each rail is designed with occupational therapist input throughout.
What Vivette can offer
The range currently includes two grab rails, both internally weight tested to 160kg and available in Oak or Iroko finish. The Everyday Grab Rail (Compact) is £79, a 450mm rail suited to spaces where a smaller, more discreet rail is preferred, such as beside a door, bath or along a hallway. The Resilience Grab Rail (Full Length) is £95, a 600mm rail that meets UK Building Regulations Approved Document M, suited to bathrooms and entrances where a full-length rail is needed.
Both finishes are suitable for bathrooms, but for areas of direct water contact Iroko is recommended. Oak is finished with a UV protection oil, while Iroko is treated with an exterior grade UV protection Osmo Oil and recommended for areas with direct water exposure, such as showers or wetrooms. Installation uses concealed fixings and just two screws, with a guide and video supplied, and typically takes around ten minutes into a stud or masonry wall. Orders are dispatched within three days, with a 30-day return policy on unfitted pieces.
