Adaptive and accessible products are often hard to find, scattered across different websites with limited information on whether they’ll really work for you. Adaptive and accessible products are often hard to find, scattered across different websites with limited information on whether they’ll really work for you. SIA Lifestyle is an online shop, created by Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), bringing those products together in one place.
A percentage of every sale goes to the Spinal Injuries Association (Registered Charity No. 1054097), helping fund SIA’s advice line, support network, and community groups that are free for anyone living with spinal cord injury to access.
After a year of growing a network of brilliant brands, we’re excited to bring you SIA Lifestyle’s new home.
Products that fit your lifestyle
SIA Lifestyle brings products and services together across daily living, mobility, clothing and footwear, health and personal care, home and technology, sport and fitness, adventure and travel, children’s products, and more.
Through SIA Lifestyle, Glyn spent six weeks trialing a pair of Loopwheels. Cobbles and uneven pavements used to set off his spasms; the suspension in the wheels absorbs enough of the jolt that he can get through his usual routes without it, one less thing standing between him and daily life.
However, independence is only one part of it. For Andy, it was about getting back something he’d written off completely. He’d assumed his injury put driving a supercar out of reach for good, until AbleNet got him behind the wheel of a Lamborghini and a Ferrari for a day.
While spinal cord injury is life changing, it doesn’t limit what a fulfilled one looks like, and that looks different for everyone. For Glyn and Andy, SIA Lifestyle played a part in finding their way back to things they’d thought they’d had to leave behind.

Carefully selected, with the community in mind
Every brand on SIA Lifestyle has been assessed and agreed by a team that includes people living with spinal cord injury themselves, so that the products SIA Lifestyle showcases are suitable for our members.
Some of the brands we choose to work with are also guided by lived experience.
Active Hands was founded by Rob Smith after his own injury, and it shows in products like the Kitchen Pack Deluxe, ten tools built for one-handed cooking, from a jar opener to a palm peeler.
Matt Walker, who has a T10 spinal cord injury, co-founded Adapt Ability to bring the Omeo, a self-balancing wheelchair built for rough terrain, to the UK. He’s called it the closest thing he has to total independence, letting him get back to the outdoor life he thought his injury had ended.
And Sam James, who had bought a van to convert into a camper before his injury but then decided to adapt the plan and built it as an accessible camper instead that can be rented through Wheeleasy Camping.
SIA Lifestyle continues to be shaped by what our community needs and wants. If there’s a brand or product that’s made a difference to you, or one you think belongs here, we want to know about it. Email us at [email protected].
More than somewhere to shop
We want SIA Lifestyle to become somewhere you can return to whenever you’re looking for ideas, inspiration, or something that could make a difference to your day.
In the News & Insights section, you’ll find real stories like Ingrid’s, whose family struggled to find shoes that fitted properly after her accident, until they found Friendly Shoes through SIA Lifestyle.
Beyond that, you can hear directly from the brands we work with about how their offers can help you, like Enable Holidays , who explain what actually goes into planning accessible travel , and Mobility in Motion on how a swivel seat and hoist system let Ian transfer out of his wheelchair and into a regular car seat, ending years of travel sickness from journeys spent riding in it
