Simple but effective, the Active Hands Heavy Use Gripping Wrap provides comfort and a grippier surface when holding objects.
During some of the more demanding activities supported by Active Hands aids, held objects might become uncomfortable against the hand or thumb, which could lead to chafing. Examples could include: holding a free weight in the gym, using a kayak paddle or gripping a hammer with a narrow handle. Active Hands’ General Purpose aid can support you to hold these things while the Heavy Use Gripping Wrap offers padding.
Active Hands’ Gripping Wrap straps neatly and securely around the object you want to hold. This gives additional comfort, a better grip and prevents unwanted rotation of the held item.
This gripping wrap is also great if you want a larger surface to hold. Once the neoprene is wrapped around your object it gives it a softer, squishy feel.
The Heavy Use Gripping Wrap consists of a 15cm square of neoprene, two Velcro straps and two loops. These loops enable easy fastening. It should endure years of regular use, even for strenuous activities. All aids are machine washable.
