The Triride wheelchair attachment converts your wheelchair into a powered trike that can take you places you never imagined. Negotiating steep slopes or rough terrain is no problem with this removable electronic propulsion device.
This Italian-designed power-assisted attachment device attaches quickly and intuitively to most manual wheelchairs. It is also suitable for some folding chairs, please get in touch to confirm that it is compatible with your chair.
The unit is compact and lightweight starting at just 7.5-kg. Two small clamps attach the Triride securely to your wheelchair. The added wheel raises your casters up off the ground so you can pass much more easily over all types of terrain. Attaching the Triride is quick and easy and the electronic-assisted lifting raises your casters up off the ground with no effort.
All models of the Triride wheelchair attachment have rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries. These come in different sizes and provide different ranges of travel. The 48V battery charges in five hours and allows you to travel up to 50-km on one charge over flat terrain. The battery’s “Regen System” allows it to charge when braking or descending hills, so extending your possible travelling distance.
The Triride wheelchair attachment has an intelligent braking system (IBS) that makes it really safe to use. The IBS can be programmed and customised to suit the user’s needs and the driving surface and conditions. Gradual braking ensures that the wheel does not lock or slide.
