For people living with a spinal cord injury, transferring into a vehicle can become more challenging when there is a significant height difference between a wheelchair and the vehicle seat. The Turny Evo takes the concept of a swivel seat further by not only rotating the seat out of the vehicle, but also electronically lowering it to a more manageable transfer height.
The seat follows a fully programmable path as it rotates out of the vehicle, helping to maximise available head and legroom. This can be particularly useful in taller vehicles or where the height difference between the wheelchair and car seat makes transferring more difficult.
Once seated, the Turny Evo can be powered back into the vehicle and raised to the correct driving or travelling position. It can be used by drivers or passengers and may be suitable for wheelchair users with different transfer needs, subject to individual assessment and vehicle compatibility.
