Taking the controls of an aircraft is something very few people ever do. AbleNet’s accessible flying lessons are open to people with disabilities and visual impairments, with fully certified instructors who know how to make the experience work for you.
The lesson takes place at Little Gransden Airfield, near Cambridge and covers everything from a pre-flight briefing through to time in the air with your instructor, finishing with a debrief so you can take stock of what you’ve just done. It’s worth arriving a little early if you can, it gives you time to settle in and get a feel for the airfield before you fly.
One thing to be aware of before you book: lifting equipment is not available at the airfield, and instructors are not trained to assist with transferring in or out of the aircraft.
