Description
Stella is a fully accessible static caravan sited at Haven’s Weymouth Bay Holiday Park in Dorset, welcoming guests from mid-2024. Purpose-adapted for people with complex mobility needs, Stella goes well beyond standard wheelchair access.
The caravan sleeps up to seven people, with a master bedroom featuring a full room coverage overhead track hoist with in-rail charging, a profiling single bed with removable bed sides, and a standard double bed. The master bedroom can be reconfigured to suit your specific access requirements. All internal doors are sliding doors.
The wet room includes a thermostatic shower with extended hose, an Invacare Aquatec VIP tilt-in-space wheel-in shower chair with lap belt, fixed and drop-down grab rails, and a raised toilet seat sitting 50cm from the floor. An Oxford Midi 170 hydraulic mobile hoist is stored in the outside box. The outside storage can also accommodate specialist breathing equipment and oxygen tanks, receivable at the park reception ahead of arrival.
The living and dining area is open plan with a 32-inch TV, Bluetooth speaker, and DAB radio. The kitchen is fully equipped and wheelchair accessible, with a lowered work surface and wheel-under sink. Bed linen is provided but not towels or tea towels.
Access is via a 1m wide ramp at the rear of the caravan, with a 1.4m wide entrance door and threshold ramp provided. WAV parking is available in a row of spaces to the left when viewed from the road. Video tours of Stella are available on the Holistic Thinking Holidays website, including tours from wheelchair users’ perspectives.
