Description

Getting in and out of a car can require different levels of support for people living with a spinal cord injury, depending on their individual mobility, transfer technique and level of independence. The Autochair Transfer Plate provides a stable platform between a wheelchair or mobility device and the vehicle seat, helping to reduce the gap during a transfer. 

The transfer plate can support different transfer techniques, including sliding or pivoting, and may be particularly useful for people who are able to transfer independently or with minimal assistance. It can help reduce the distance someone needs to move between their wheelchair and the car seat, providing additional support and confidence when getting in and out of the vehicle. 

The plate can be quickly detached when not in use and can be installed on either the driver’s or passenger’s side, subject to vehicle compatibility.
