Adapted Trends’ navy blue cargo trousers are designed for wheelchair users and people with additional needs, with a range of practical adaptations built into a comfortable, unisex design that works for everyday wear.
The trousers are made from 100% soft cotton with a wider leg for comfort when sitting and free movement around splints and prosthetics. Full length 2-way zips run down each leg, opening from both ends to make self-dressing and assisted dressing easier. A zipper guard at the back prevents rubbing, and a toggle on each zip makes them straightforward to manage.
The waistband is tailored specifically for seated wear, with a lower front to prevent bunching and a high back however, the shorts can be customised to make the back extra high if necessary to cover incontinence aids. The elasticated drawstring at the hem means the trousers can be gathered to accommodate specialist boots and splints, or left open.
Additional features include accessible side pockets on both sides for easy reach when seated, a 1 inch hole in each hip pocket for feeding tube access, and zips that open along the leg to allow access to catheter bags, splints, or prosthetics without removing the trousers.
