Description

For wheelchair users who drive independently, transferring into the car and then storing a wheelchair can be a significant part of the journey. The Chair Topper is designed to help make this process easier by combining a powered wheelchair hoist with an external storage box.  

After transferring from a wheelchair into the driver’s seat, the Chair Topper can help lift and store a compatible wheelchair on the roof of the vehicle. This means the wheelchair does not need to be manually lifted over the driver and placed inside the car.  

For people living with a spinal cord injury, this can help reduce the need to reach, twist and lift a wheelchair from the driver’s seat. It also keeps the wheelchair outside the vehicle, helping to preserve passenger and boot space.
